Outubro começa a celebrar o Dia Nacional da Água!
No projeto TRAP – Libertando os Nossos Rios de Plásticos, vamos assinalar esta data com um mês de atividades integradas na Bienal de Coruche.
Destaque para a limpeza comunitária do Rio Sorraia, no sábado, dia 10 de outubro. Vamos deixar o rio mais limpo – e mais lindo! 💙
O que vamos fazer:
♻️ Recolher plásticos em vários pontos do Sorraia – que vão ser usados para criar uma obra de arte, sob orientação de Diogo Nunes, doutorando da Faculdade de Belas Artes da Universidade de Lisboa!
🐟 Conhecer os impactos da poluição nos rios e ecossistemas aquáticos
🤔 Refletir sobre como reduzir e gerir melhor os nossos resíduos
🧪 Contribuir para a Ciência Cidadã do projeto TRAP
📈 Lançar as bases para ações contínuas de recolha e monitorização
🤝 Construir uma comunidade mais atenta e envolvida na proteção do Sorraia

Come help clean the Sorraia River!
October starts with the celebration of National Water Day, in Portugal.
As part of the TRAP project – Freeing Our Rivers from Plastics, we’ll mark this date with a month of activities integrated into the Coruche Biennial.
Highlight: a community cleanup of the Sorraia River on Saturday, 10 October. Let’s make the river cleaner – and more beautiful! 💙
What we’ll do:
♻️ Collect plastics at various points along the Sorraia – which will be used to create an artwork, under the guidance of Diogo Nunes, a PhD candidate at the Faculty of Fine Arts, University of Lisbon!
🐟 Learn about the impacts of pollution on rivers and aquatic ecosystems
🤔 Reflect on how to reduce and better manage our waste
🧪 Contribute to the TRAP project’s Citizen Science
📈 Lay the groundwork for ongoing collection and monitoring actions
🤝 Build a more attentive community involved in protecting the Sorraia
